CSM Live Event Code of Conduct
It is important to ensure that the conduct of all people involved with The Beautiful Screening , is aligned with CSM’s core beliefs and values. The purpose is to ensure an inclusive, respectful and safe environment for all stakeholders of the event.
Stakeholders are mandated to follow our 4 main principles:

All individuals are expected to follow instructions provided by event staff & volunteers, to act in a way that ensures a positive atmosphere, comply with health & safety procedures and regulations and behave responsibly at all times (including in regard to alcohol consumption).
Unacceptable Behaviour
Offences:

Harassment, discrimination or abuse

Aggressive, threatening or violent behaviour

Excessive drug use (including alcohol)

Failure to comply with staff requests or safety instructions

Any behaviour that can bring the charity or event into disrepute
If any of these offences are noted such stakeholders will be asked to remove themselves from the event.
The event is committed to safeguarding all stakeholders, especially children and vulnerable adults such as the disabled or elderly. Any concerns regarding safeguarding and welfare should be reported immediately to the appropriate staff. All concerns relating to this will be treated with due concern and managed in line with current legislation and policies.
All stakeholders have a duty of care to ensure the event complies with applicable Health & Safety legislation and venue policies and to take reasonable care for their own safety along with the safety of those around them. Additionally, stakeholders should report all hazard or incidents to staff and follow emergency procedures.
Attendees & Participants are mandated to be respectful with staff, volunteers and other attendees, follow the event rules and regulations and to act responsibly to support a safe and inclusive environment.
Staff & Volunteers are required to act in accordance with the charity and events values, to support safeguarding and welfare procedures and to communicate clearly and respectfully with all stakeholders.
Performers, Speakers & Players should represent the event in a positive and respectful way, avoid using derogatory terms given the event will welcome all ages and comply with pre-agreed safety and schedule requirements.
Contractors & Suppliers should work safely and follow contractual and legal requirements while treating everyone on site with respect along with minimising disruption to the event.
Sponsors & Partners need to ensure any promotional activity of the event aligns with the charity’s aims and values, as well as to conduct all such engagement ethically and responsibly while respecting the event and other stakeholders.
Reporting/Enforcement
Any breaches in this code of conduct needs to be reported to the Event manager and/or the welfare representative.
Event Organisers have the right to take action, including warning, terminating involvement and removing individuals from the event.
Serious incidents will be escalated to local authorities where necessary.
Participation in The Beautiful Screening indicated agreement to comply with the Code of Conduct. Failure to do so will result in removal of the event and/or further action when appropriate as deemed by the Event Organisers.
